ST. LOUIS, Missouri — St. Louis CITY SC have signed goalkeeper Christian Olivares from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, St. Louis CITY2, on a deal running through the 2025 MLS season with club options for 2026 and 2027.
The 21-year-old recorded three clean sheets and 43 saves in 12 regular-season matches for CITY2 last season. He will now compete for a backup role behind Roman Bürki, the club's captain and 2023 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
"We saw great qualities in Christian from this past season in MLS NEXT Pro," sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said. "As a young prospect, we hope to see him grow professionally with us and build off of last season's performance."
