CARY, North Carolina — Adrián Pelayo has been named to Mexico's 21-player squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, set to take place in Indonesia from November 10 to December 2.

The defender, who recently signed with North Carolina FC in the USL Championship, was one of five players from the USL ecosystem selected across Mexico and the United States for the tournament. Mexico, coached by Raúl Chabrand, were drawn into Group F alongside Germany, Venezuela, and New Zealand.
